I&#8217;ve worked on some really cool stuff, such as the procgen and simulation elements of Watch Dogs Legion and the dictionary and systems design in Scribblenauts, but you can check my <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/LXeeYP\">resume<\/a> for more info. Some of my interests are: procedural generation, AI systems &amp; simulation, expressive game systems, the intersection of systems and narrative, and how players use games as creativity tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soren Johnson did a nice three-hour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlethumbs.net\/designernotes\/episodes\/liz-england\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.idlethumbs.net\/designernotes\/episodes\/liz-england\">interview<\/a> with me for his Designer Notes podcast in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may know me from <a href=\"https:\/\/lizengland.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/the-door-problem\/\">The Door Problem<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also know me from small dark comedy and\/or horror games posted years ago on my <a href=\"http:\/\/lizengland.itch.io\">itch.io<\/a> site (such as <a href=\"https:\/\/lizengland.itch.io\/everyday-misanthrope\">Everyday Misanthrope<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lizengland.itch.io\/growth\">growth<\/a>), or from my twitterbots (such as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/litpatches_txt\">@litpatches_text<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/vg_erotica\">@vg_erotica<\/a>, now deprecated. RIP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also have <a href=\"https:\/\/lizengland.com\/blog\/game-design-library\/\">reviewed books on game design and related fields<\/a>, though updates are rare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m on the GDC advisory board (who help build out the conference program each year).
